Faction Change Problem - Blue Tracker

So after I complete all the character changing stuff and what not, I hit accept. I then get a message saying 'Are you sure you are done changing your character?' I hit Done but then I get another message box with a yellow exclamation mark telling me to 'Please enter a new name.' so I enter the same name that I had and hit okay but nothing happens. I'm just wondering what exactly I'm going to do about this because I don't want a forced name change to go along with the faction change.

**Update

... There was a problem of some sort during the process ( probably due to me logging in during it ) and a blizz rep called me and said that it showed that I had faction changed from Dwarf Priest to Dwarf Priest. So now I'm just waiting for it to be cancelled so I can do the process again.

soooo yea... don't log in during the faction change

Indeed, the name is taken by the original Barder, posting here. The same name cannot exist twice on a realm, even on opposite factions. The situation you cite, Misty, might be true if Barder was also transferring to a different realm though!

I apologize for any frustration or inconvenience that this might have caused, Barder. I'll investigate and see if there's any information I can provide for you regarding this situation.

Interesting! Did you get all the way into the realm and on the character before you were 'kicked'?
