Character Transfer Locked - PLEASE READ

Greetings, all!

We are currently aware of an issue which is preventing players from logging into characters who have recently completed a Paid Character Transfer. If you are currently experiencing this issue, locate the issue you are experiencing below and follow the instructions beneath the appropriate heading.

    I can't see my character!

    If you have received an in-game mail stating that your Character Transfer was successful but are unable to see your character on the destination realm, please create a new character on the realm in question. This process should allow you to see your transferred character.


    My character is locked!

    If you have received an in-game mail stating that your Character Transfer was successful but are unable to access your character, please attempt to log into the Character Transfer status page (https://www.worldofwarcraft.com/account/character-transfer-status.html) and click the "unlock" button to regain access to your character.


    My character is locked & I can't view the status page!

    If you have received an in-game mail stating that your Character Transfer was successful but are unable to access your character & the status page, please reply to this thread with the following information:

Did you get an e-mail that said your transfer was complete, Scherzando? It may still be in the process of transferring and you need to wait a bit.

Edit: Nevermind, it appears that an e-mail was sent regarding this matter. You need to contact our Billing department, Scherzando, there was an issue with your transaction.

You can call 1 (800) 592 5499 (1-800-59-BLIZZARD) Monday through Friday 8AM-8PM (PDT) for live representation.
Australian users should please call 1-800-041-378 if the standard 800 line does not work.

An e-mail was sent to the address registered to your account, Averdria, there was a billing issue with your transfer and you'll need to contact our Billing department to resolve it.

All information provided in this thread, up to this point, has been processed. If your character is locked it may be because there was a billing issue with the transaction. Please check the e-mail address registered to the account you will likely need to contact our Billing department.

The funds may be held but it doesn't appear that the transaction was fully processed so it wouldn't have been charged. The fund should return to the account in 3-5 business days. Sorry, Averdria, I believe the only option for this would be to contact Billing during the week.

Nahual, I show that your transfer didn't actually go through, you'll need to initiate it once more.

Unfortunately, Perfectness, there was an issue with your transfer. You will need to contact our Billing department to have the issue resolved. Have no fear though, you were not charged for the account to account transfer, and any held funds should be returned to the card within 3-5 business days. Our Billing department may even be able to assist you with the transfer over the phone.

It appears that all of the issues that had been experienced a couple days ago have been resolved.

If you are receiving the message : "You can not log in until the character update process you recently initiated is complete", you will need to contact our Billing department.

This message usually indicates that there was an issue with your transaction and in order to resolve it Billing will need to help you manually. I am very sorry for what inconvenience this may cause you all.

It went through immediately, i now have two of the same characters. One on each realm.


Are you able to log into both characters, Atheistic? It sounds like your transfer is simply pending. The current approval time is at around an hour. That time can fluctuate but simply because it hasn't processed yet does not mean that your issue is the same as was outlined here.

Thanks, but I didn't do anything. :) As I said approval time are currently around an hour so it likely went through on its own since 8 PM was almost an hour ago. :)

I can see that. It appears that your transfer has been completed, Tonzon, so I'm not certain why you are posting in this thread. The issue this thread was about has been resolved.

If you are unable to log into the character and you are receiving a specific error I recommend creating your own thread and provide the information there. Alternately you can submit an in-game petition from an alternate character.
