Okay , i am tired , someone asked to see my gold. I showed it to him and went to decline, due to my tiredness i pressed accept and then quickly decline. the gold went through and i'm pissed. Exact amount is 13,800. I am now at 90 silver. I sent in a ticket, am waiting for a response. I made a deal with the guy saying you can keep 500 and give me back the rest but instead he replys, "Thanks for the gold" and ignores me. This is a huge amount of gold and a big mistake. I gathered that gold from years playing. Can any gm or anyone tell me is there a chance of getting the gold back ? since i gave the time of the trade and that he ignored me and such.

I'm really upset IRL.

I'm sorry, Elaulea, from your description of events this doesn't sound like something that we will be able to assist you with. It doesn't appear to be a scam, which is something we can usually help with. You traded a person the gold. It may have been an accident but once traded, the gold belongs to that persons.

The Game Master that answers your petition will look into the situation but I'm not hopeful. Again, I'm so sorry, Elaulea.

Yeah, I fixed it, Comradfrodo, I changed my mind while typing out that sentence. O.o

VRAK, the thing is though i spent OVER A YEAR getting that gold. Playing a video game to loose what i played for, a whole year to someone who won't feel regret and wont give me anything at all back. This is a HUGE SUM OF GOLD, i'm really mad

I understand that, Elaulea, believe me I do. We try to help when we can but unfortunately we aren't always able to help in every situation. Perhaps there is an aspect of this issue that I am not aware of and we'll be able to step in. I would rather be honest and prepare you for what I believe will happen though.

I wish you only the best.

My statement still stands that it's your own fault.

That may be true, Gig, but that doesn't mean you have to sprinkle salt on the wound. Compassion is a far better ointment and actually serves to make the world a better place. :)

I'd say this does qualify as a scam. Why would you want someone to 'see your gold' unless it was to try and get lucky trading? Why do you think the other player hit accept on the trade?

How Blizzard doesn't see this as a scam is rather surprising..

If the issue was that someone "wanted to see your gold" I would agree with you that something was fishy. That isn't what happened though, as Elaulea said the person just asked how much gold did they have.
