HEY, BLIZZARD! Yeah, you! You think you're so big in the Northeast right now, don't you?! Drop a couple inches of snow on some cab-riding yuppies and you think you're big stuff now? Why don't you come out to the Midwest and see how bad you are?

What, no? You scared? That's right you're scared.

People out here have shovels. Not the people as a group have shovels, each person has multiple shovels.
Try to trap us in the house. Shovel in the garage.
Try to keep us at work. Shovel in the car trunk.

We got jackets, pants, boots and shoes made just for kicking you right in your couple inches of snow. You got nothin'.

Think we'll run out of funding to clear you off of the roads?
NOPE!
I've got neighbors with plows on the front of their pickups. You know what they call "blizzards" like you? Tax deductions.

tl;dr Come at me, blizz!

Just keep in mind, there is always vengeance in the form of slush. That's right, it's getting ready to slide down your leg into your boot even as we speak.

Happy Friday all. ;)

You think slush is a threat? You've never been to a cold state. Slush is a sign that it's time for shorts and sandals.

Whoa whoa.. hold on there. No need to be insulting. I've definitely lived in a cold state. I was born in one and slush is evil. It doesn't just slide into your socks, shoes, or boots, it slithers like a snake. Better to go barefoot in the snow than have slush sliding around in your shoes I say.

Having grown up in a cold(er) state (Pennsylvania) and moved to a beautiful state (Arizona), I can say only this.

Blizzard, please dear lord DON'T visit me. I can only envision the accidents and fenderbenders that would happen every MINUTE you were here. People out here have NO idea how to drive in RAIN, let alone SNOW... Keep your shenanigans to the Northeast portion of the country, and leave me to relish and enjoy my dry heat.

*bundles up in a sweatshirt, long pants and shirt, shivering in the 65 degree weather*

Been there done that, know exactly what you mean. Although Northern Arizona has plenty of snow.
