First let me say I don't post on here often, and this is not intended to be a flame thread so plz don't take/make it that way.

I finally read through Ghostcrawlers post about wow dungeons being hard. And I've seen several posts that feel like folks were being talked down to. Now lets leave out the actual content of what is being said in that post since it doesn't matter really, at least in regards to this topic.

But since Blizzard always wants constructive criticism heres some :). If you don't want players to take things personally take the personal out of it and don't use the implied individual of "you".

For example:

Ghostcrawler-
"Finally, the encounters, even the bosses, ended up having a sameness to them because you could ignore their mechanics. It didn't matter -- in fact, you didn't even notice -- if the dragon breathes or silences or drops a void zone. The fights all felt the same."

Perhaps-
"Finally, the encounters, even the bosses, ended up having a sameness to them because mechanics could be ignored. It didn't matter -- in fact, it was barely noticeable -- if the dragon breathes or silences or drops a void zone. The fights all felt the same."

The second one I can find nothing to discuss other than content of the point being made. The, first however, questions whether or not I personally was careless, a point which could vary by person. Maybe this is semantics but I do see where a lot of folks were coming from, and subtle changes like this might provide useful insight from the devs without the personal connection that we tend to latch onto so easily.

Thank you for this feedback, Nedle. I can appreciate your concern, and the alternatives you've provided are certainly something we'll be keeping in mind for the future. :)

I also wanted to jump in here and let everyone know that we are listening to your feedback, even when it's not explicitly related to gameplay. We appreciate criticisms, no matter how small or focused they may be, especially if they're voiced constructively. We may not always be able to respond to the constructive threads we see, but we spend a lot of time reading and taking note of what you have to say. It can be easy to forget that or believe that's why we're here, so hopefully this post will serve as a quick reminder that your posts aren't ignored and that they can (and do) have an impact.

That all said, I'm going to go ahead and lock this discussion. We've seen a number of threads regarding Ghoscrawler's blog and, although those threads are extremely valuable to us, some of them have unfortunately ended in personal arguments. It's possible that if I were to leave this one open after responding the same thing might happen -- not because your opinion is controversial, but because players care about this particular issue passionately and want to make sure that their voices are heard -- and I'd rather not risk that. Keep posting your thoughts, ideas, and feedback, though; we absolutely appreciate knowing whether or not you're enjoying yourself and what you feel we could be done better.
