Last week I got suspended for 72 hours because of "Economy Exploitation" but I didn't know the reason, and in order to avoid further account actions I need to know what activities of mine have violated the ToU, so I wrote several letters to AccountAdmin but havn't received any responses. Today I got permanently banned without any specific reason.
I guess I got banned because I'm Chinese? I know there're many gold farmers from China but I am not! The reason I play on US realm is that I am an enrolled MBA student of University of Rochester, and I'll go study in Rocheter, NY in the coming september. I take it as a good opportunity to learn US culture and to expose myself in a highly interactive atmosphere to improve my English communicating skills.
I understand that it may be difficult for Blizzard staff to distinguish Chinese gold farmers apart from normal Chinese players, in order to streamline the investigation work, AccountAdmin just simply bans any players who physically live in and logon from China. Is my assumption correct? Does Blizzard have any rules banning all Chinese players from playing on US realms? If so, you should add this clause in the ToU and when a player from China starts the registration you should let him know that he is not allowed to play on US realms.
It would be kinda of deceptive if you don't tell Chinese players your "hidden rules": you allow them to register and make the payment, after a while you ban them without giving any specific answers... This is very irresponsible, we normal Chinese players lose our money and our hard work!
I guess I own 20k gold may be another reason I got banned. But being rich in wow is not illicit! I am an MBA student and I love WOW’s economy system! I am a successful entrepreneur in real world, and I have very strong interest in doing business in World of Warcraft! I just buy enchanting mats and make them into enchanting scrolls then sell them for profit, I didn’t cheat, I didn’t steal, I didn't sell gold at all!
I’ve read terms of use very carefully and I know that as long as I don’t gather in-game currency for sale outside the Game, doing business and own large amount of gold is permitted!
A Chinese IP address doesn’t necessarily mean I am a gold famer! If you simply judge that I exploited WOW economy just because I am Chinese, your judgment will be unfair, ridiculous and racism! Your investigation (if you really did) is very irresponsible because you didn't have any proof, and you didn't gimme any specific reason at all!
Even if I violated the ToU, you should send a warning first and let me know what specific activity of mine violated the rules. But you didn't gimme a second chance when I am still very confused!
