Do vets keep their original titles?

Because I don't get into work until after 2:00pm PDT.

We haven't decided 100% what we're going to do with the player versus player Honor System titles at this point; it's still an ongoing discussion. What we do know is... we do not want to completely take those titles away or make them less prestigious than they are now. We will let you know when we come to a solid decision on this.

One thing I think Blizzard often overlooks is that fun exists not only in actions we are currently undertaking or hope to undertake, but also in looking back on the past. In my experience, the process of reminiscing itself can be fun and should not be tinkered with lightly.

We are aware of the effects of nostalgia. We also know that we do want to move forward and, sometimes, that means the future will overwrite the past. We never take any decision lightly and we're always trying to make certain we are working toward content that will leave people with good memories as well as long-lasting rewards.

The rank I hold is the oldest title I have, thus signifying I was there during the first year of this game and everyone that sees it, knows it. Wiping that out and letting anyone get it again simply means you care nothing for the players who have been here since day one? Meh.
