UPDATE:

Good news!

This issue should now be resolved! Any instances that did not see progress post reset should now be returned to their saved state, and any instances that were not active when this issue arose should load properly. Raids that have seen progress since the reset will not be reverted to their saved state, but should now save normally.

Based on the latest information we have available, if your raid has been affected by this issue, but has not yet cleared any foes in your reset instance, then your partially cleared instance should be restored to its former state when the resolution for this issue is implemented.

Hello all!

We are aware of an issue with raid instance resets, and we are investigating the matter as we speak. We would like to apologize for any inconvenience or confusion that this may have caused, but we hope to have the matter resolved soon. That said, based on the information I have currently available, we are unlikely to be in a position to restore raids to their prior state. As we receive more information, we'll provide it here.

The affected battlegroups should be as follows (you can locate your battlegroup via the following link):

http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/pvp/battlegrounds/battlegroups/

Whirlwind
Emberstorm
Nightfall
Stormstrike

Thank you for your patience as we work to get everything running smoothly again!

Thanks for the information. Can we get a confirmation on whether or not it is safe to proceed raiding and re-clearing the bosses that have respawned?.

So, if you don't want to deal with the re-spawned critters, it might be best to wait and see what happens. There are no guarantees, of course, but hopefully this will be how the situation pans out.

Thanks again for the reply.

I'm assuming that also means that those that have chosen to re-clear the re-spawned bosses and mobs wont be actioned against, but I'm not sure if you are in the position to reply directly to that with a definite answer or not.

At any rate, thank you for the additional info.

You're welcome!

It's pretty safe to assume that as long as no deliberate or willful exploitation is taking place in this case, that we will not take action against the involved raiders.

So would clearing the instance again if we've already done it this week be considered "deliberate or willful exploitation"

I am curious because there are a ton of guilds on the listed BG's who have cleared Trial of the Crusader on Tuesday, and are already re clearing it, will action be taken against all of those accounts?

It's pretty unlikely that action will be taken against those raiders at this stage in the game.

Once again, thanks for all of the information. I really appreciate your constant updates in this thread. Good to hear everything is resolved.

*grin* It's been a pleasure! We don't always receive updates so swiftly, but I'm happy to keep you guys in the loop!

Good luck on your raids tonight =3.

For those affected by this issue, I'd like to gather some information, if you're willing to help. If your raid deliberately refrained from slaying any creatures in the instance since the reset, can you now confirm if your raids are in the correct saved state?

So basically anyone that tossed caution to the wind and redid their instances got a free week basically, and those that didn't get the satisfaction of know they prolly don't have to risk worrying about a possible ban?

Discretion is nearly always the better part of valor, and ensuring that your course of action is correct is always wise.
