Currently i have the authenticator on my iPhone, i wish to purchase a token as backup in the case where my phone is out of service etc.

Will there be any complication in terms of the setup codes?

You can only have one authenticator linked. Certainly wouldn't hurt to have it on hand, but unless the iPhone one were removed, the keychain could not be added.

Does that make sense?

I'd also recommend jotting down the serial number when using the app devices.

Make sure they are in a safe and secure place of course, but that number will be incredibly useful to have should you ever need to call Billing and remove this. Naturally that is NOT something you want falling into anyone else's hands.
