Shouldn't raid achievements be obtainable in the tier in which they were released rather than one to two tiers later?
And Bornakk replied that all achievements should be obtainable using the gear available to them when they are released.
Then a couple days ago, Blizzard announced that FoK was getting a fairly hefty nerf and when asked about encounters that relied on it, Ghostcaller replied:
It's possible some select fights, notably Yogg 0, may be too difficult without the interrupt, but the encounter designers are prepared to make changes accordingly, and everyone will have access to better gear in the new raid tier anyway.
Ok, fine, Blizzard is prepared to make changes to Yogg+0 (and possibly other fights) but it's the second part of GC's statement that bugs me a bit. The "everyone will have access to better gear in the new raid tier anyway" seems to be in contradiction with the answer I got earlier.
So let's say that in a few weeks when 3.2.2 lands, some guilds are still able to beat Yogg+0 (a fight which I can say is far from easy). Is it because the encounter is still doable without FoK? Is it because those guilds now have some T9? Did Blizzard keep FoK in it's current form for so long so that they didn't have to change it or Yogg at all? The new tier of gear makes it all better? Does it matter?
