So as the title says, its kinda been my dream to work at Blizzard, such an amazing corporation. I'll be graduating high school in 2 years, and I know for sure I will be getting a job in the game industry. I am still debating on what to take up.

I love art, I'm always drawing sketches, swords, etc whenever I can, even though I may not be the greatest at it. I find myself pretty lucky to be living in Vancouver, with so many respected colleges and universities around me.

The problem is, I cant figure out what to study. Its going to be in the Arts field (not for sure), but I"m not sure. 3D Artist, 2D Artist, Game Designer, etc.

I love to work in teams, great communication skills, and very creative. It would be great to sit at a table with other people and discuss ideas for a game, how things work etc.

Now I know I need experience, and there's some great companies in the Vancouver area, Blue Castle Games for one (Dead Rising 2), and many more that are taking straight-out-of-college grads to work with them.

Also, I love photoshop. It's a really fun program, and I would to get to know it more.

The problem is, I have no where to start. I guess if you guys helped me decide what to do, I could know where to start.

All help is appreciated, thanks alot

PS: Samwise is kinda my idol at Blizzard LOL! Hail and Kill, repping the long hair. He inspires me, and being an art designer would be really fun.

PSS: I know this all wont happen in a day, but I'm a very dedicated person when I want something, and I'm not stopping until I get it.

PSSS: I took a course at my high school that teaches us about programs, like Photoshop, Word, Excel (everything except photoshop was pretty useless since I already knew it, and quite boring), and I'm taking a more advanced version of it this year, just FYI

Thanks alot!

I can't really give you any specific tips on what you need to study, as it really does depend on what you'd like to do specifically.

You can find all of our current employment opportunities and the subsequent requirements here: http://www.blizzard.com/us/jobopp/ . =)

Q u o t e:
They can't tell you what the pay is,

This is true. =/
Q u o t e:
but to become one you need good people skills and writing and reading skills as well as basic computer skills.
Back to whence you came! They might start to quest why I'm here if you start giving out requirements like that! <.<
