Stop Reusing Old Bosses

Were sick of seeing the glory days of WoW come back to its current state in a down scaled version, no one wants to relive epic bosses with the epic challenge taken away from them.

Naxxramas is the perfect example, Naxx40 in Vanilla WoW, was easily one of the hardest things to do in this game while your new version of Naxxramas is so much of a joke 25 people can group up in Trade chat and clear it.

Yes some people want to redo content who never did it in the first place, but these players also then think the content back in Vanilla was a joke. If you ever tell someone Naxx40 was so insanely hard they laugh in your face saying Naxxramas is a joke because they have done it. Done it now sure, but back then, these kids couldn't even down Instructor Raz.

Leave dead content dead, just like it should be, those who didn't play the game then, shouldn't get to play dummy downed content now just so they say they have done it.

Thread Conclusion on the discussion of reused bosses ends on Page 9. All your rebuttals used after that are you being too lazy to read the entire thread and therefore your opinions are useless.

It sounds like you would've been very disappointed to see a level 83 elite version of Hogger wipe the floor with Premonition during our live raid at BlizzCon.

Of course this was after they killed Anub'Rekhan, Pathwerk, and Thaddius all thrown at them at the same time. ;)

Oh no blue, you are ruining my thread and making it stray off topic!

Combining fights for the use of showing a guilds skill or buffing a mob completely is different from reusing old content that has been made easier.

Fine, you're right on that point. It was still amazing to watch the live raid. And you know what? Each wave of old bosses thrown at them (including all of the old world dragons) brought roars of applause from the crowds because they're familiar figures in Warcraft. People like having them around, particularly if we can incorporate their history into the evolution of Warcraft lore.

I hope you don't mean by that reusing old bosses and making them easier and rather recreating new fights with the same familiar faces.

I have no problem with lore progression, just I would like fight progression also.

Onyxia is an exception. That's to commemorate the five-year anniversary of World of Warcraft. The bosses familiar to you that will make another appearance in Cataclysm won't necessarily involve re-tuned, repeat encounters.

Zarhym, will you answer my question or are you ignoring me because I'm asking to much? hehe, sorry. I'm a very curious person.

OOOOHHHH YAY!!! first person on the 10th page! lol i feel special now

Though I usually avoid absolutes, I can pretty safely say we'll never release a game or expansion without a Beta. :)

Kind of. They've already said half the barrens is a 80 leveling zone, so I doubt that'll be the only case of it throughout azeroth. Have to see I guess.

No, all of the 78-85 zones not in Northrend are brand new zones (unless you count Uldum or Mount Hyjal as old zones). There will be a big split in level range between the Southern Barrens and the Northern Barrens in Cataclysm, but those ranges are still pre-60.

New 78-85 zones: Uldum, Mount Hyjal, Sunken City of Vashj'ir, Twilight Highlands, and Deepholm. These are all planned to be substantially bigger than Sholazar Basin, just to give an example.

Edit: Also Tol Barad, a mix between Isle of Quel'Danas and Wintergrasp.
