If blizz really does go through with the removal of half of the stats in the game i most likely will quit. Its one of the things that makes characters and talent trees unique.

Removing uniqueness at the cost of making the game easier to "maximize" is the entire problem with wow imo. This isn't a business, its an rpg. You play it for fun.

Everyone keeps posing about "OMFG HOW WILL I KNO WUTS BEST? I NEED MY EXTRA 5% DPS WHAT THE %@@!?!?!?"

The only reason its annoying is because you OCD freaks make it annoying. Charts are completely pointless. If you cant figure out that strength is better because you get a 20% bonus from your talents or that armor pen is bad because half your damage isn't physical, you need to go back to school.

Couple of points I'd like to make:

1) If you can look at an item and tell how much you will benefit from the armor penetration, hats off to you but you are the minority and there are many other players to consider in the grand scheme of things.

2) Yes, people play the game for fun, but for a lot of people that goes hand-in-hand with high performance. This change would level the playing field to a degree so it's more about getting better items and less about figuring out which random items are the best for you (this is currently a big part of the game in my experiences.)

3) Discussions are what the forums are for, if you have any negative feedback, keep it constructive. (Translation: thread lock incoming)

4) There are no plans to remove subscription fees.
