I think its great that even with the fact that every ticket has an unavailable wait time due to the number of tickets.....somehow GMs still find the time to avoid actual work by posing in OT threads rather than doing actual work

And I think it fantastic that even with the amount of trolling that you have done over the last couple of weeks that you still do not understand what our job is.

The Game Masters who post in this forum are here to post in this forum. We don't take petitions. We moderate here. We address what posts we can when we can and we work to build a sense of community.

I am sorry that something has bothered you to the point that you seem hellbent on posting antagonistically all over this forum but I am asking you, one last time, to stop.

If you have an issue that we can help with, we'd be happy to look into it. If you have an issue that is waiting on developer/tech resolution like the additional instance issue I'm afraid all we can do is provide what updates we have when they are available. If your issue is that you simply like to rain on parades or stand on your soapbox and shout at the top of your lungs I'm afraid that will not be permitted.

Blizzard constantly declares that ticket response times are the result in shortened staff and a growing number of tickets, then with all the problems plaguing the servers they shorten their staff available and hours due to Blizzcon .

Shortened staff, no, Mercy, you are mistaken. Our response times are the result of an increase in the number of petitions that we experience, we continue to hire additional staff to help with that increase but it takes time. We haven't reduced the number of staff members, except when Blizzcon was taking place last week and over the weekend.

Still, the staff was not truly hindered, we still had plenty of people here to address petitions, and petition times remained fairly constant. Issues "plaguing the realms" is a bit vague, do you mean the additional instance issue? The Game Master staff isn't able to assist with that and Blizzcon did not delay any implementation of a resolution.
Q u o t e:

The image this puts out is they are more interested in gaining new money than actually servicing the customers that are already paying.

The image you see reflects this, Mercy, but most people don't see it that way.
Q u o t e:

To compound this issue when you come to the CS forums to see if anyone may actually be getting a professional level of Customer Service, you notice that there are many posts with no Blue response at all, .....however the GMs have time to respond to an OT thread repeatedly

Yes, because posting in the OT thread, which helps to foster a sense of community with those who aren't looking for things to complain about, takes all of 3 seconds. I am generally working on multiple threads and issues.

There are a number of posts that haven't been responded to by us personally, you are correct. Most of those actually have been answered correctly by another poster though, these forums are here for players to discuss the game with other players. Several threads are also repeats, additional threads created because someone may have missed a stickied thread or an ongoing thread that does have a blue response in it.
Q u o t e:

If all the posts received SOME kind of valid answer from a GM then I could see having the time to chat it up with players, however you are showing that the other posts you ignore are less important and do not deserve Blizzards attention

I'm sorry that you have such a negative view. To be perfectly clear, again, these forums are here for the players to discuss the game with other players. This forum in particular is moderated by in-game support but we are simply unable to respond to each and every post, nor are we required to. If you want a guaranteed reply you need to submit an in-game petition or write to wowgm@blizzard.com.

Similarly if you have a technical issue you are welcome to post in the Technical Support Forum but it is recommended that if you do not receive a response there to use one of the other methods of communication.

Q u o t e:
how many times to you go to a doctor and ask the other patients in the waiting room for their opinion on your ailment and then leave without actually hearing from the person you are paying to tell you whats wrong or how to fix it?

yes I know the doctors office analogy doesn't fit the same par because it would actually be about your health, but it still fits that you are expecting the people that are PAID to respond, its basic customer relations that seems to be lost in many business these days

You aren't in the waiting room, Mercy, you are in a public room, owned by the hospital, where some doctors just happen to be. You may be able to get an answer from one of them but that really isn't a reliable method of communication.

Submitting a petition or writing to wowgm@blizzard.com would be more akin to actually going into the doctors office to see him/her. What you are expecting is not what actually IS. You don't actually pay for the forums, they are an added privilege for having an active account in good standing.

I really do hope you can understand the points I'm making, Mercy. I am often optimistic but my optimism isn't always rewarded.

In either case I hope we can come to some kind of understanding. Good luck. If you wish to provide feedback on how you believe I, or the other members of my team are doing our jobs you are welcome to write to wowgmfeedback-us@blizzard.com.

You seem to have missed that part, Mercy.

Do we have as many Game Masters as we'd like? No, absolutely not, but we have been hiring nearly constantly since World of Warcraft first launched.

It should also be pointed out that although I am a Game Master of sorts, I don't take in-game petitions. Could I? Yes, I suppose I could but that isn't my job.
Q u o t e:

Its like being on hold with your cell phone carrier for hours or days waiting for a rep, only to discover they are out back playing softball while on the clock

No, it's like being on hold with your cell phone carrier for hours or days waiting for a rep, only to discover that someone responsible for answering e-mails is actually answering e-mails.

Q u o t e:
edited to add...this person waited and eventually bumped their own thread die to lack of response....how may ot replies were made by GMs durring this time lapse

Irrelevant. Most of the necessary information needed is actually in the stickies.

How many people am I unable to assist because you refuse to understand that a rock isn't a ball and a ball isn't a hockey puck?

I think we are done here. This thread has a purpose and it isn't to cater to your false perceptions and narrow expectations. Additional non-OT style comments will be deleted from here on out. If you wish to provide feedback you are welcome to do so at the address I previously supplied.

Q u o t e:

so you're saying that when a customer has a problem with the game they pay for each month searches for a solution and sees a forum titled CUSTOMER SERVICE, then posts to get an answer.....should wait and let their irrelevant post slip off unanswered because they may be new to the forums and didn't read all the stickys ?

and that the 30 sec of forum posting is better spent in the OT thread than directing the customer to either their answer or simply telling them to review the sticky posts

Their post is not irrelevant, Mercy, how many replies were made here or elsewhere while they may have waited for a response is. People don't miss stickied threads because they are new to the forums and/or just didn't read all of the stickies. They aren't required to read all of the stickies, just the one that pertains to their issue. The subjects are clearly titled and prominently displayed at the top of the page.

I have already stated that although we try to respond to each post made it is not always possible. If the thread falls of the first page the person can bump it and hopefully we will see it.

As I said, this is not a guaranteed method of communication. Submitting a petition or writing to wowgm@blizzard.com is.

Since we seem to be going in circles I'm going to ask once more that you stop. You have the feedback address if you wish to comment on my performance.

This thread is now returned to its regularly scheduled OTness.
