Early Northrend flying for linked accounts

Hi there everyone,

Very sorry if this is explained elsewhere, but I've not been able to find any mention concerning linked accounts. Here's my question:

I've got an account with a couple of 80's, so it seems that I am eligible for the heirloom cold weather flying book. I recruited my lovely wife to play the game and we've made it to lvl 64, so we'll be in Northrend in a short period of time. From my reading, it seems that if you don't have an 80, you still wait until lvl 77 before you can fly in Northrend. Is there any way to pass an heirloom piece to a linked friend account or will we simply be waiting until 77 to fly?

It seems like a stupid question to me, but with the other benefits we found of having linked accounts(summoning, additional rep points for kills, etc.), I thought there might be a chance that this might have been another aspect of the game that linked accounts got a whiz-bang surprise from.

Either way, thanks very much for taking the time to answer.

Q u o t e:

She doesn't have an 80 account yet. Is there a way for her to purchase the book upon arriving at Northrend?

Thank you both for the answer to my post. It's greatly appreciated.

No, I'm afraid not, Naturedood. If she does not have an 80 on her account she'll need to wait until 77 to be able to purchase Cold Weather Flying.

The idea is that if you have already experienced Northrend, on foot until 77, you don't have to do it again. Your level 80 character can purchase the book and send it to the other lower level character.

Currently there is no way around this requirement, Naturedood.
