rofl.

I have an 11 year old daughter. it's taken her 3 years to level her hunter to 30. She plays a LOT. She's usually in huge groups helping people like 5 levels lower quest.

I know people play how they want. It's not like I raced to 70 with my main.

Anyway so looking at my account I'm close to the toon limit :o My daughter has 6 toons on tons of realms. lowbies everywhere. every race and class.

Her birthday is in march. She asked for her own WoW account. So I need to get her all 4 discs and a game card.

My question,... can I transfer her main off of my account and to a new one?

A minor cannot hold an account. It has to be in the parent's name. An adult is then allowed to share the account with ONE dependent minor child.

That is not entirely accurate. When creating a battle.net account the player will be asked for their DOB, if the player is a minor the parent's e-mail will be required. An e-mail will then be sent to the parent, so as long as the parent agrees to the Terms of use on their behalf it is perfectly fine to have the account under the child's name.

If you are however planning to transfer a character, the account will need to be under the same name, Totenkoph.

Do keep in mind that the destination account level must be the same or higher in order to transfer a character.

umm..accounts have levels now?

Yes. =)

The account levels I am referring to are:

  • Classic WoW
  • The Burning Crusade
  • Wrath of the Lich King
  • Cataclysm

Correct!

Yep. You can't transfer a Cata character to a Vanilla account. They both have to be Cata.
