GC: You cannot buff arcane?

Because Arcane mages would two shot people?

Mages were at their HIGHEST representation in patch 3.08 (your so called "2 shot" era). They were at 10 percent which is UNDER warriors right now. Dk's and Locks are sitting at 9 percent (thank god we have one dps caster who is good, are we all supposed to roll dest locks?).

According to this logic warriors need immediate nerfs and locks and DK's are in the "dangerzone" of being nerfed. Do I think they need nerfed? HELL NO. Just like mages did not need a nerf that was based on noone even having resilience yet, and warlocks who still played afflcition/demonology living in the past (which is the only reason they were not nerfed along with arcane mages).

Do me a favor GC, use that AWESOME database you claim to have and number crunch this...

1. What was the average resilience people were sporting in Arenas when Arcane was nerfed.

2. What was the mages health relative to what it is now, and what are melee classes health then compared to now.

In what "land of magical unicorns" do you live in where Arcane mages are two shotting paladins with heals over time running and 1000 resilience, druids with heals over time running and 1000 resilience, and priest shields and hots and pain supression with 1000 resilience.

Combine that with the fact they are usually healing a) a warrior who can spell reflect every 10 seconds, b) a rogue who can go immune to magic, c) a DK that can go immune to magic who also has a party bubble to supress damag, d) a warlock who gets a flat 20 percent dmg reduction that STACKS with nether protection, or e) a ret paladin who just plain goes immune to EVERYTHING.

Better yet explain to me WHY arcane is not our primary pve tree when it is harder to play and manage then fire. Scorchio 2 literally plays a fire mage for me. It is the most mind numbing boring raiding experience you can imagine. Almost as mind numbingly boring as destruction lock raiding (which blows us the hell away in raid dmg despite being as simple).

Why in the hell was arcane pushed aside with unwarranted nerfs, when a good arcane mage could outdps a bad arcane mage 2 to 1. That was actually *shocker* FUN. Do you think it is fun to be fire and all that matters is your gear with a rotation a chimp could do? Doing the same dps as a mindless player who has scorchio 2 mod is not fun. Blowing them the hell away when we were both specced arcane is.

The arcane nerf was based on people with low resilience and health pools. you even bringing up the words "two shot" and arcane in the same sentence is an asbolute joke. How about you do some research, and play a mage and get back to me. Tell me how much you 2 shot people in arena. See how boring fire is, and how being a good mage does not even matter anymore with a fire spec. Then play arcane and watch as you are outdpsed BIGTIME by other arcane mages who have mastered the class and time all their cooldowns.

Kalgan played a mage at the end of BC. He buffed them for a reason. He finally understood their pain. He had played a warrior up until then. It is about time you tried it as well.

Oh and the only people "twoshotting" anyone right now are melee classes loaded up on armor penetration pve gear/pvp gear mix" (did you really think they were not going to do this?). If you are going to be worried about ANYONE being buffed to much you should look into armor pen in pvp. Must be nice to get huge damage buff from armor pen, while mages stack spell pen jus to get past a stupid buff (motw), and that is all it accomplishes. Must be nice to raid and actually get GROSSLY overpowered items to use in arena, instead of items you cannot even use because you will be "2 shot" by every melee who gets near you.

Do not take my word for it though. Try out a hard BG group like rampage or bloodlust and try your luck at arcane. Put yourself in full deadly/furious gear, noone will care. Better yet try that spec without a rogue and tell me how many people you 2 shot. On Cho'gal you start seeing double furious geared people around 1500. Good luck with that!

Better yet spec FROST and play in a 3's comp (our only viable bracket now at all) without a rogue. Frost is dead. Now that players are not borderline retarded and realise they can cleanse shatter combos, and dps can now break shatter combos and kite you back just as well, the spec is dead.

It is only good as a rogue support class and can that role can just as easily be filled by a lock who can do more dmg and is just as easy to heal.

Warlocks FINALLY have a fun "twitchy" tree to play (destruction). We want the same. We are sick of being a rogues "pet class".

/signed the majority of mage community who actually plays and does not just post on here when they lose a duel to another spec from their own class. *cough Affix cough*. Affix whining about losing to arcane mages in duels was the same as a arms warrior trying to get protection warriors nerfed in pvp because he

I said we wanted to buff Arcane but wanted to do so without adding back some of the fast burst damage that we have worked hard to reduce in PvP. We agree that it's worth changing things that can be really frustrating to play against even if it doesn't reward the other guy with high representation or ratings.

However, we already have a post or two on this topic and the rest of this thread seems to be QQ or bashing other players.
