QQ Triumphs All

So GC says they're happy with where rogues are in pvp. Overkill nerf shortly follows. GC also states that FoK spam doesn't seem to be showing much success in 5v5. FoK nerf shortly follows. Is it just me, or does it seem like forum qq triumphs all? Oh wait, never mind. I forgot rogues have been qqing about deep sub sucking for how long now? I guess some qq gets ignored after all, huh?

Btw I don't care about the overkill or FoK nerfs. What I do care about is the only qq that gets any attention around here is the ones that promote nerfs and not buffs.

Perhaps you've noticed a trend...

If a poster wants a change and we don't make it, then that is Blizzard ignoring the community.

If a poster doesn't want a change and we make it anyway, then that is Blizzard caving to QQ. :)

Q u o t e:
I dont have enough digits to count the times that the community (via a poster, as you've called it) has asked for a change with strong ptr supported evidence to an ability/class that would keep the class balanced and in-line with others that has then been ignored by Blizzard. And ignored is the only word I can come up with to describe it, because thats exactly what it is. We bring you tons of numbers, and to be honest it doesnt seem like the numbers we bring you are ever sufficient.

That’s not ignoring you. That is reading your posts and considering the data and choosing not to fix something in the way you suggest. Your argument seems to be that these arguments made by the community are so compelling that there can be no other response from us except to make the change. That is, we *must* make the change, and if we still don’t make it that we must be ignoring you. Good data make stronger argument than opinions or anecdotal observation, but that still doesn't mean we have no say in the matter.

I say things like that because we want to get the community out of the mindset that “If we can just do X, then we can get Blizzard to do what we want.” That’s just never going to happen and we don’t want to create the expectation that it will.

Now, we try to offer explanations sometimes for why we disagree, or in some cases while we might even agree but still aren’t ready to make a change. We can’t address these issues every single time they come up, or we’re essentially just having to summarize every balance discussion we have a second time for the forums. That still doesn’t mean we’re ignoring you though.
