One from each version of WoW:

Vanilla: The Barrens - simply for nostalgic purposes, I vaguely remember my noob days running around the Barrens with my other noob friends. Good times.

Burning Crusade: Nagrand - most beautiful area in the Outlands without a doubt, almost makes you forget how awful the quests are. Almost.

Wrath: The Storm Peaks - without a doubt my favorite zone in the whole game, the whole area is visually stunning and it's also host to what is in my opinion the best quest chain in the game, the Sons of Hodir quest chain that starts in K3. Also, the music is spectacular.

So, General Discussion, what are yours?

My top three favorite areas in the game (+1) are:

Tirisfal Glades: I love the history of this area and the overall feel.
Zangarmarsh: Very Alice in Wonderland and just visually appealing.
Grizzly Hills: It makes me want to go hiking and (I couldn't pick just one) Crystalsong Forest: It's just visually stunning.

Vanilla: Hard to say as I get a lot of the "old versions" mixed up with what they are now, but probably Western Plaguelands as it just felt evil from the first time you set foot in the place and felt pretty epic overall.

TBC: Nagrand - The natural environment gave me a really different feeling than the other zones that I was able to enjoy just being there while slaughtering hundreds of animals and demons. Tranquillien was also a lot of fun for a starter zone, great atmosphere and flow.

WotLK: Borean Tundra (horde), Howling Fjord (alliance) - These zones felt very different for each faction but I really enjoyed them visually but mainly the stories really flowed well and catapulted my interest/desire to play through Northrend.
