As most know recently with the last patch mages were able to proc hot streak(insta cast pyros) from the critical tics of living bomb.

As of this morning, this appears to be nerfed, however the spell is still able to be casted on multiple mobs. I have a 3 part question.

1.) Was this change reverted, and therefore nerfed?

2.) How do you feel about mage pve dmg now as fire. We were under the rest of the pures on the ptr with this change, without it we will surely be even lower. There was a 16-20% increase in HS procs on single target fights. That is alot of dmg we are now going to be missing out on.

3.) There are reports that Hot Streak is now procing off of non consecutive criticals. For example:

Fireball (critical strike!!)----> Fireball (non crit : ( ---> Fireball( Critical Strike ) = Hot streak!

Is this an intended change? Do we no longer have to have two criticals back to back to proc Hot Streak.

Right now mages are very confused, I personally am confused, and I think some type of comment on this would be helpful so we can sort this out.

Sorry for the delay in clearing this up. We recently posted a fairly comprehensive description of the past few days in the mage forum.
