Prot vs. Ret dps in PvP

With the new changes to the paladin talent "touched by the light " in the prot tree, there has been some discussion about paladins wearing ret gear and going protection spec and possible doing more damage in this tree with the new change than damage in their respective damage tree Retribution.

Are the devs aware of this? And if this change actually makes protection spec paladins in retribution gear do more damage than retribution spec paladins in ret gear, are there and plans to fix this should it actually happen ?

If Prot paladins strap on dps plate and do decent dps, that's actually a really nice place to be.

If they do so and out dps a Retribution spec in a lot of scenarios then that would be bad, but we don't see that happening.

Another response to a paladin thread, yet no love for hunters.

I hate to do the head-on-a-pike thing, but we've seen a lot of it lately, so I guess it's time to restate that this kind of nonsense will get you banned.

If you have an issue, make a post. If you have done so, great. You're done. Don't then make many more posts complaining that we haven't responded to you. I'm here largely on my free time (it's Sat AM with actual coffee in the coffee mug), and even the CMs have literally thousands of new posts a day to read and monitor. Let's try to be a little more informative and a little less whiny, K?
