Can we get Foror's Compendium clarification?

Will it not drop, AND the quest will not be completable? If it's still completable, will it reward the old Quel'serrar or the new one? It would really help in deciding what to do with mine.
Anything can change, but the current plan is for the compendium's questline and the old Quel'serrar will no longer exist/be attainable when patch 3.2.2 launches. Remember, anything can change.

Ive been hunting that book for years, and never seen it drop. Matter of fact, I can count on one hand the number of world purple drops in my almost 5 years of playing wow.
The Quelsarrar is still a status symbol. It once showed time and commitment to doing a quest that yeilded one of (if not the best looking) sword this game has designed to date. It stood out in a crowd, and always garnered attention. Now you specualte that the questline and sword will not exist?
Its one thing to revamp an encounter or raid, its another thing entirely to take out a questline for a 5 year anniversary "surprise".
I personally hope this changes and it stays. Update the Quel Sarrar if you must, but dont take it out. Some vets still seek to get it.
If it is a status symbol, after 5 years it sounds like a good time to maintain it as a status symbol for those whole got it and move on.

The Mature Black Dragon sinew will still be attainable if that is what you mean. Not sure if it will be on Onyxia herself, but the plan is to make it available somewhere.
