You're a bit late on the QQ train and I'm hoping this is just a troll. ;)

If not, there will be no refunds given. Sorry.

The reason for the change is pretty simple. We are always looking for ways to improve the experiences of players in the game. One way we felt we could help a little was to allow players to access mounts at a lower level so that they can get around a little bit more easily. We like maintaining the feel of the world as something you spend time traveling through, but not to the point at which the experience becomes too much of a chore. It's a tightrope act that we're constantly trying to be very careful about. We don't want to tip things too far one way or another if we can help it.

This information has been available for awhile now and we've been working to make sure that as much information as possible has been released about what to expect for this patch as well as maintaining high visibility for this information. This has all been posted about in the PTR notes, on the front page of the World of Warcraft site as well as in the forums and most recently again in the Shop Talk. We plan to continue to do so for this patch and future ones as we move forward.

We understand that not every choice we make will be the most popular choice with everyone, but we like to think that in this case, it benefits more people than not.

Something tells me you where told to play nice with the paying customers. Get whoever told you that fired. Your first post was all that needed said :D

I always play nice and I like humor. There was no malicious intent at all, though I know people will read it that way. QQ Train just sounded more interesting than the usual fare. ;)

As for the Jewelcrafting information, here is the original thread that you can read on all of the changes here- http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=17779501837&sid=1

I'll see if I have a more specific answer that we may have given already though.

Hi!!

It's going to be a busy week and only get busier from here (but in a good way) with BlizzCon on its way. I'm looking forward to the new patch as I know many others are as well.

This does kind of point out a flaw in Blizzard's information distribution system. Blue's constantly remind us how small the number of people who actually read the forums is, but this is almost the only venue in which new patch information is released. Did the game startup window ever discuss any of these changes?

It did. We've also had all of this information on the main World of Warcraft site and it has been mirrored on various fansites.

We've thought about going door to door with this information, but we're unable to get Father Winter to give us his travel secrets. For now, we're going to just continue to find the best possible means of getting this information out to everyone. Which means, constructive feedback on what more we might be able to do is always welcome. We'll keep pushing to make all of this information as available to everyone as possible so that whether or not a change is popular, it's known and understood on why we are doing what we are doing.

We're trying to be as transparent as possible and I know it seems we're picking on the original poster a bit, but people do live busy lives and may not always pay attention to the information that is being released. They get up, go to work, get home, do whatever other chores they need to and then seek out some fun by hopping into the game. It seems easy enough to come down on someone for not knowing (and again, the QQ Train was very tongue in cheek (though I hope it catches on for a change of phrase)), but honestly, there is no way of knowing just how incredibly busy someone may be and the last thing they may want to do is peruse the various sites for information.

If there are ways that we can improve upon how everyone gets this information, we'll try to do so.

hahhaa. thanks for all the info. sorry guys. just start wow less than a month. didnt know about it. shall read up more often. i didnt know i made so many clicks within an hour.

Then welcome. :) No one gets in the club without a sound drubbing. You are now official and also a very quick study if you're already 65.

We have the Shop Talk sticked at the top of the forum that should give you a quick way to find all of the latest information for the patch. Feel free to peruse the information and I'm sure many people can fill you in on questions you might have.
