Priest Q&A - Nothing about smite?

After reading through the priest Q&A, I (and probably others) were quite disappointed with the lack of anything regarding smite(holy/disc dps speced)-priests. I can honestly say that i expected to see a simple 1 line answer of "we plan to eventually work on this making this sub-spec more viable" or, like 2h enhance "we have no intention of making this work".

Just knowing either way would be really nice.

Fwiw, the spec is fairly close to working (needs a few major changes, but nothing out of the realm of possibilty imo), and I believe its been stated that blizz would like to have more tree follow the DK/Feral setup of 2 roles in 1 tree.

Both curious and perturbed that nothing showed up in the Q&A.

We have no intention of majorly supporting a Smite-centric, Holy-damage-focused priest build.

Smite is there to give you something to hit at low level and give you some ability to do damage in a Holy or Disc build. But we don't expect it to do competitive dps with a Shadow build. Shadow is your dps spec.
