I expected Rogues to be on top for a PW like fight but more along the lines of DPS Test #3. So around 300 DPS ahead of the next pure. However, the first two test results are a bit scary. 1.5k dps ahead of the next non-rogue pure is a bit depressing :(.

Mages and Locks seem to be competing agian, which is good :), but WTH is up with that hunter???

Well, that's it from me. What do you guys think?

Edit: Fixed Links :)

Can't we get even a little bit of analysis here instead of every reply just being "Buff my spec?"

i suppose it has a lot to do with the fact we are not paid by blizzard to do analysis on data. we would rather see results incumbent on the data provided

These role forums are provided here for players who want to discuss class mechanics and balance, and that certainly includes analyzing data. These are "theorycrafting" forums. If that's not your thing, that's cool, but don't then make your thing coming into attempts at actual discussions and saying "Buff me, buff me, buff me." (I'm trying to speak to the community at large here and not single out the particular person I quoted.)

To the players who are breaking things down and not just skimming over the raw numbers to highlight things that support their foregone conclusions, you have our thanks.

Errrr....did it ever occur to you that the fact that there are no Patchwerk style fights in 3.1 OR 3.2 might imply that maybe, just maybe, Patchwerks are an incredibly bad way to judge...well, anything at all?

It is a good encounter to test because it is simple. You shouldn't disregard it just because not every encounter works this way. There is no single encounter that every encounter does work like -- they are quite diverse, and purposely so.

You shouldn't dismiss the numbers just because Patchwerk isn't in Ulduar or Crusader's Coliseum. Neither can you assume that things are always going to stack up this way on actual encounters. The thing to do therefore is consider the numbers in light of this particular encounter.

This is what I mean when I say to ask "What is mage dps?" is meaningless. It depends. That doesn't mean it's impossible to talk about mage dps however.

GC, The dps coming out of that rogue. Is ridiculously Alarming. When you're almost breaking the 10k barrier in Uld epics.. That's wild.

I don't think anyone wants HaT rogues to do that kind of damage, including the HaT rogues. :)
