Balancing Tanking population the right way!

Blizzard should just stick to it's new Design of all tanks being able to handle every encounter with none having a big advantage.

There has been all this talk about balancing through power and representation. I don't think representation should be a factor at all in balancing survivability, threat and dps. There are much much better ways to encourage population than just buffing a certain class or nerfing another.

If you want to make the population of a certain tank higher, make them more fun and flashier to play!

For example, Bears are probably the lowest in terms of population.
I guarantee you anything that if you give Bears a few more abilities, animations, strap a weapon on it's back and give it a big flashy lightning paw twirl on a swipe, that it will increase population far far more than buffing its survivability by 1%.

To quote blizzard "Players sometimes (and often depending on the argument they are trying to make) argue that representation equals power."

Truth is players relating to and having more fun with their class is far more important to representation. People might just like zooming around, slamming things with their shield and shockwaving as a warrior rather than seeing the same old crappy bear animations with boring abilities.

So I implore you blizzard.... don't balance survivability and threat on population. Focus on making the game more fun again.

That is the goal. (You can't ignore skill, gear or the comp of the rest of the group of course.)
