I was wondering if there was any reason shamans can't have swords. Since rogues are getting 1-handed axes, then why can't shamans have swords? I remember back in BC there was that occasional sword that was sweet that my shaman could have used, but never could cause of this limitation. I know there probably aren't many shaman-esque swords at the moment, but maybe that could change with badge gear or just loot changes/adds here and there? I would love to see these changes happen if they could!
Edit: I took out the "somewhat breaking lore" part because it's getting off topic and I typed that thinking about how big they are and therefore not too stealthy (plus Blizzard said "After much quiet contemplation", implying there was some indecision over the topic). Maces are less stealthy and more messy then axes, as someone reminded me. I would love if people stayed on topic a little better :)
