We are performing our weekly scheduled maintenance this morning, beginning at 3:00 AM PST on 08/04/2009 for all realms other than those listed below. No realms will be available for play approximately between the hours of 3:00 AM and 11:00 AM PST.

All realms on the Emberstorm and Whirlwind battlegroups will be down from 11:59 PM PST until 11:59 AM PST.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.

As all times are provided in PDT, if you do not live on the pacific coast, you will need to adjust this schedule accordingly. You're welcome to use this table as a reference:

HST = PDT - 3 hours
MDT = PDT + 1 hour
CDT = PDT + 2 hours
EDT = PDT + 3 hours
ADT = PDT + 4 hours
Newfoundland = PDT + 4.5 hours
GMT = PDT + 7 hours
AEST = PDT + 17 hours

Please note: Most web services will be periodically unavailable this morning. These services may include the website, our paid character features, and these forums.



As always, this is an excellent time to make sure that all your software and computer security systems are up to date: OS, auxiliary programs, browsers, etc. Deep scans are also a very good thing to do at least once a week, along with other maintenance chores on your system. Now would also be a good time to ensure that you upgrade your Adobe Flash player to ensure that the recently-discovered vulnerability will not affect your browsing practices.

Realms with the longer maintenance are counting down.

Character services are also in maintenance, now wouldn't be the time to try a transfer or any sort of recustomizing until the service returns.

To do a full reset UI, you will want to save your addons in another spot if you wish to preserve them.

Then rename/delete or move your WTF, Cache and Interface folders while WoW is shutdown. Reboot your system.

Note, if you are running Vista make sure your permissions are set so it does not undo your changes.
