Unsuccessful transaction

Hi, I was trying to upgrade my active account from Burning Crusade to Wrath of the Lich King via this link:

I have inputted my credit card on that form and clicked the Submit button. Afterwards, I get an error stating "Transaction unsuccessful, if you are sure that you have inputted the correct credit card number, please contact Blizzard billing support."

So, I re-checked making sure that I have inputted the correct information. I was confident once again, clicked the Submit button and I get the same error again. I've tried with a different credit card, and nothing's changed.

I was reading certain posts that someone had the same problem as me, and he said that there were multiple payments made to Blizzard on his bank statements. I became a bit worried, so I went up and visited my bank to see what's up. Result? They said that I have sent multiple of $39.99 to Blizzard ... I'm not sure whether these payments are completed or pending. =\

^ It's weird because I checked my Payment history on my US Battle.net account and there's nothing on it. It's also weird that my credit card I've inputted on the Upgrade form is currently attached to my PayPal account. My paypal account works fine and is used to pay Blizzard monthly. But upgrading my account with the same credit card won't work? :(

About 42 hours ago, I have e-mailed Blizzard ([email protected]) regarding this issue. That I want them to look at the problem, cancel out the unnecessary payments and somehow manually accept my credit card so that I can upgrade my account.

I still haven't received thier reply, yet. =\ That's why I made this post on the forums. Forgive me if I have made the wrong decision.

By the way, I'm not from the United States. I'm from United Kingdom. The main reason why I play on US WoW is because my friends play there. Also, I have a disability in real life, meaning I cannot speak or hear.

I have a lvl 70 Hunter on this account waiting to get to 80!
Please, help!

You may wish to give Billing a call on this, although I strongly suspect you'll find those are unsuccessful pending charges which should disappear on their own.

I live by myself, and it would be a bit awkward to get some stranger (interpreter) to call Blizzard for me. Wouldn't that compromise my security as well?

There may be some other alternatives to get the expansion. I don't know whether or not the US Blizzard store accepts oversea delivery so that I can buy the expansion from there and deliver it into here. The other alternative I suspected is buying the expansion from third parties, but most of them require phone call and I have a little problem trusting them.

I'm glad to acknowledge that the unsuccessful pending charges process is resolved.

Oh my, I am so very sorry - I did totally miss that sentence tucked in there near the end.

In the UK you do need to be very careful of which version you purchase as an EU copy will not work with US realms. One option for you may be to contact your favorite local software store and see if they can specifically acquire a US version for you.

Calling our Account Services staff will still be your best bet, JC. I know that it can be a bit frustrating to get into the hold queue for now, but patience, persistence and a ready finger on redial should serve you in good stead.
