Just asking because I´m not a big fan of grinding reputation, farming etc..

No, there's no attunement required for Trial of the Champion (5-player normal and 5-player Heroic) or Trial of the Crusader (10- and 25-player normal). To unlock Trial of the Grand Crusader (10- and 25-player Heroic), at least one member in the raid must have completed Trial of the Crusader.

Uhh wait, don't you need to be a champ to go in?

edit; first first

>_>

No. Being a champion of all primary factions, exalted with all of those factions as well as with the Argent Crusade will unlock new dailies. Just the same, being exalted with Sunreavers/Silver Covenant will unlock new dailies. None of that, however, applies to your ability to enter the Crusaders' Coliseum.

Are there at least some optional attunement-like quests that tie into the story line, or are going to be relegated to watching a cinematic and/or listening to an NPC rp-ing to understand why we're there?

There will be a lot going on outside the coliseum, including interactions with major faction leaders, that really tie into the reason for the tournament and the coliseum. You might even see a few of your challengers chained up outside, waiting to be let loose on you and your ilk. ;)

ilk
-noun
1. family, class, or kind: he and all his ilk.

I used that word in conversation with my girlfriend the other day and she didn't believe it was a word at first. Since then -- and I'm sure some of you have had this experience before -- she's going through that process of suddenly hearing ilk in every day conversation and on television constantly ever since we talked about it. Why does that happen?

Now I imagine I'll just be constantly looking for ways to throw it into dialog, as you have witnessed in this thread.

lol... wow. That's awesome. Thanks for the link. I've wondered about it for years and discussed it with friends, but never knew there was a specific description for it.

Yay!!! I figured I'd never get into the Coliseum.

Just to reiterate something I said a few minutes ago in another thread, the Crusaders' Coliseum isn't innately meant to be a natural step in progression from the Argent Tournament dailies. The tournament dailies are there to provide solo or duo players with access to pretty nice rewards and heirloom items without having to run dungeons. Just the same though, those heirloom items are being offered on the emblem vendor in Dalaran; and for those players who focus more on running dungeons and raids, we don't want to arbitrarily lock them out of the Crusaders' Coliseum for not grinding dailies.

By "interactions" do you mean Las Vegas style scheduled skits put on by the characters?

Complete with a water show every half hour set to Pavarotti music. :p

So, as it is a T9 dropping raid, will it fall progression wise after Ulduar but before Icecrown? And assuming this, does it follow the Naxx 10 -> Ulduar 10 -> Trail 10 regular? How exactly do the heroic versions fit with gear progression and iLvL?

Here's a basic breakdown of the item levels for each dungeon:

Trial of the Champion (5-player) normal mode: Item level 200
Trial of the Champion (5-player) Heroic mode: Item level 213
Trial of the Crusader (10-player) normal mode: Item level 232
Trial of the Crusader (25-player) normal mode: Item level 245
Trial of the Grand Crusader (10-player) Heroic mode: Item level 245
Trial of the Grand Crusader (25-player) Heroic mode: Item level 258

In addition, successful tribute runs (Trial of the Grand Crusader only) will result in higher item level rewards from the tribute chest at the end.

Irregardless, it's a double negative which pretty much negates its usefulness in everyday speech.

Fixed. :p

258? Jeez, that's gonna be some sweet loot. Thank you for the breakdown Zarhym, one last question (hopefully).

As I am sure most people are wondering, will Trail of the Champion, regular 5 man, be resetable or will it be the first five man to have a daily lockout?

It won't have a lock out, though it won't drop Emblems of Conquest or Champion's Seals.

Then anybody that don't speak-a the Italian is-a gonna end up there.

Am I wrong for assuming you recently watched Dana Carvey on Conan as well?
