I merged my bnet and wow accounts. Now i get a message saying that there is no wow account associated with this bnet account. I can log into all the websites with no luck on the game.

Few quick questions for you, Tarelas:

    1) When you log into the Battle.net site (https://us.battle.net/login/login.xml) using your B.net credentials, are the appropriate WoW accounts listed under the "Manage My Games" section?
    2) For clarity, what message do you receive whenever you use your WoW account name and password to log into the game client?
    3) What email address is associated with the B.net account in question? Please list this address under the "Email" section of the forum Options page. To get to this page, click on the "Options" button just under your posting avatar in the upper right of the screen.

Thanks!

Q u o t e:
1. It show aa burning crusade account but not a regular wow account.

Is the account you're attempting to log into the one displaying under the "Manage My Games" list? You mentioned WoW "accounts," plural, so I'm just making sure I'm on the right page here.

With this, is the account on which you are posting, Tarelas, the one you're attempting to log into?

Q u o t e:
2. the message states, "there is no world of warcraft account associated with this bnet account.

Are you attempting to log in with the WoW account name and password? Not the B.net account name (email address) and password, but name and password associated with the WoW account in question?

Please try logging in with the WoW account's credentials.

Q u o t e:
3. and the email in my option is the same one for my bnet account

Thanks! I'm only showing one WoW account associated with this address. Is that how many you are expecting?

Q u o t e:
when i log with the old credentials i get the wrong information message.

Is the exact message "This account is not attached to a Battle.net account. Please log in with your Battle.net account email address and password"?

Or is it "The information you have entered is not valid. Please check the spelling of the account name and password. If you need help in retrieving a lost or stolen password and account, see www.worldofwarcraft.com/logingsupport for more information"?

If the latter, you may want to verify your realmlist. To do this, complete the following steps (http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=16137364195&sid=1):
Q u o t e:

Open the World of Warcraft folder on your hard drive (Default Folder: C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft or C:\Users\Public\Games\World of Warcraft for Vista users, Applications folder for Mac users). Open the Data, and then the enUS folder. Open the Realmlist.wtf file using a text editor, like WordPad. Make sure the lines in the file match the following:

set realmlist us.logon.worldofwarcraft.com
set patchlist us.version.worldofwarcraft.com
set realmlistbn ""
set portal us

Also, out of curiosity, what happens if your reset your B.net account password (https://us.battle.net/account/support/login-support.xml) and then try to relog?

Q u o t e:
as far as the resetting the passwor i get the same message

You mean, if you reset your B.net password, the issue still persists when you attempt to log into the game client? Or you receive a similar message when attempting to reset the password?

Q u o t e:
i get the second message and my realm list is set correctly

For clarity: Are you using your B.net credentials to log into your forum account?

Apologies for the repetition; I'm simply trying to make sure I understand the issue fully. :)

So, using your B.net email address and password, you can log into:

However, using this same information, you cannot log into:

That sound about right?

Aha. Roger that. :)

Can you try to log into the game client once more with your B.net credentials? I've tried a possible resolution on our end. This may or may not work, but it's certainly worth a try.

While it may be necessary to contact Billing & Account Services about this tomorrow, Tarelas, there is one more troubleshooting step you can try at this time—and that's to run the Repair Utility (found on WoW folder).

Unfortunately, I cannot guarantee that this will resolve your login issue, but it's worth a shot. If there's anything client-side that is preventing your login, this should clear it up. :)

Not really related, but that's okay. :)

The message you're receiving, Wateh, simply means that the character in question is, well...a bit behind the times. Although your account successfully disconnected from your realm at one point, your character did not and so remains online and idle.

You're welcome to try to log into another character and take a quick 5 to 10 minute break. Your character should disconnect on its own shortly. Terribly sorry for the confusion!
