What an appropriate OT today.

Guys, please make sure you are sorting by Latest Reply. Huge amount of necro'd threads being dug up tonight.

Thanks!

We have a tivo, so it fast forwards through commercials in most of the shows I watch, except when I make the mistake of watching things live, lol.

I once spent two weeks house sitting, and all the TVs within the house were equipped with TiVo. Naturally, over the course of those two weeks, I spoiled myself rotten and eventually acclimated to the glory that was a commercial-free existence.

When I returned home, for days I kept pressing the "fast forward" button in vain and sometimes couldn't immediately figure out why nothing was happening: Was I pushing the wrong button? Did the battery die? Was there a pillow or a piece of furniture blocking the sensor? *shakes fist*

I've since forsaken normal television and have opted to survive solely on Netflix and Apple TV. I love it dearly, but I'm always a few days or even a season behind. WTB TiVo. :(

And next week is my anniversary.

Happy anniversary! How long have you two been together? :)

Normally an anniversary only lasts for 24 hours... although if the wedding lasted for more than 1 day it could be debated that the anniversary could be carried on for longer :P

Are you doubting Dost's abilities to bend the space-time continuum? :P

It will be 7 years now.

I wish you and your wife 7 more many times over, and may the spontaneity that began your marriage continue to bless it. :D

Hey there Syndri, how are you liking your change of hours?

My sleep schedule is still a bit out of sorts, but we Sprite Darters are resilient little buggers. :)

If you want a Rottie pup let me know.

I don't think my feline roommates would appreciate such an addition to their living space. :(

I find it extremely hard to believe that a being that lives solely on caffeine has a sleep schedule at all! >.>

I sleep quite a bit, actually. Don't let my vice belie my actual behavior. :P

Q u o t e:
What's your new hours since you aren't on a similar schedule to mine anymore :P

It's a only slight change, really—and a temporary one, at that. I'm still observing my normal 7am to 4pm PDT hours during the week; on the weekends, though, I've been working 9am to 8pm PDT.

This is likely to change to again soon, so don't let your toe muscles atrophy.

Silly turtle. Turtles can't "rear back." l2 understand anatomy.

    Verb
      1.rear back - rear backwards on its hind legs; "the frightened horse reared back"
      rear, rise up - stand up on the hind legs, of quadrupeds;
      2.rear back - start with anger or resentment or in protest
      jump, startle, start - move or jump suddenly, as if in surprise or alarm;

Have you ever seen a red-eared slider interested in something outside their tank? I beg to differ. . . :0P
