If I read correctly we can get Emblems of Conquest from Heroics come patch. Does this mean all of our currently emblems of heroism get converted to Conquests? I am curious because I am wondering if I should spend my Heroisms on my DK now or wait for Patch.

Anyone with further knowledge on the topic as to how this is going to work?

Our current plan is not to convert the Emblems of Heroism already acquired, as those emblems will still be useful in a number of ways. We also plan to allow players to trade in their Emblems of Conquest in for Emblems of Valor and their Emblems of Valor can be turned in for Emblems of Heroism. We aren't removing Heroism from the game. We are simply removing these emblems from the dungeons and encounters where they were previously attained.

After 3.2 how are we supposed to get the "Acquire 500 Emblems of Heroism" achievement? Do I have to run a lot of dungeons quickly? Trading in Valor doesn't count toward the achievement.

  • The existing achievements to collect 1, 25, 50, etc. Emblems of Heroism, Valor, and Conquest have been converted to Feats of Strength since Heroism and Valor Emblems are no longer attainable.

Why not have an option to change any higher emblem into any lower ones. For example, changing Conqueror into Heroism without going through Valor first.

This may be something we look into down the road. However, it is not something we have the time to implement currently.

Will this change cause people to lose achievement points?

Will the guy with 10,000 achievement points need to go get more achievements to keep his "Status"?

That is an excellent question. Unfortunately, I don't have the answer to this offhand. I've sent an email to our development team and I'll provide that information as soon as I am able.

achievement points are so important, what with all the things you can actually acquire with them.

While achievement points may not be important to you, this game consists of more than you. As a result, there are people of differing opinions than your own and they have an interest in attaining achievement points and achievements.
