Happy Friday everyone. For many people it's a three day weekend and hopefully you all have some fun plans in mind.

I just wanted to take the time to address a few things and remind people about how best to use these forums.

First, with the release of Cataclysm, we've seen a lot of adjustments not only to how the game is played, but additional changes as shown in the PTR notes for patch 4.0.6. We know it's a lot all at once and we know you wouldn't be here talking about it if you didn't care or weren't passionate about it. We appreciate that and want to remind everyone to please try to check for an existing post on the topic you wish to discuss so that it opens up room for other discussions and also helps us and other community members follow these discussions. We've seen a lot of repeat threads which only result in us having to lock or remove them. This is always something we particularly don't like doing in case there have been well thought out posts that get removed with them. The search function for these forums has been vastly improved and hopefully you'll be better able to find what you're looking for. If you can't, then post away providing it's constructive or relevant to World of Warcraft and these forums.

Second, please avoid creating threads that voice a complaint about other threads or opinions.

Please remember the forum Code of Conduct and take care that you aren't violating any of it. We want you here and posting and suspending is something that comes as a matter of "need" to do vs. "want" to do. This includes harassing/defamatory remarks toward other players or Blizzard employees as well as language or masked language.

We know we have a very vocal and passionate community and we value that. We just want to make sure that everyone is given their fair shot at sharing their thoughts and feedback without fear of reprisal from others who disagree.

I've posted this here not as a means to open up a discussion on forum moderation or anything along those lines. It's just a reminder of the policies here and the best way to get benefit out of the forums.

We want these forums to be both informative and fun, but most importantly, a place you all can visit and be a part of a community within. We can't be everywhere at all times (though with some cloning technology maybe someday that will be possible) so we also need your cooperation, and if need be, your reports of things that the moderation team should take care of.

Again, nothing but the best of wishes to you on this Friday. Let's make it a great one!

Have a good weekend Neth. Hope you don't get too overworked trying to herd cats on the forums :).

I like cats. Sure they have sharp claws and teeth, but nice soft fur and they purr. Plus, kittens. I mean, who can resist a kitten?

Oh i chuckled at this, i would love to tell everyone here the hillarious things i got banned for on the previous WoW forums, but i would get banned for that too.

Oh well, no hard feelings?

No hard feelings. Just remember not to talk about ban club. ;)

I've been farming Kitten resistance gear for years now.

Is it made out of baby ferrets?

Baby ferrets > baby kittens I'm a sucker for them. The weasel wardance is the ultimate in joy.
