Stuck on Authenticating

Hey I was getting a really bad framerate on my main (not on my bank alt) so I decided to restart my computer and now I'm stuck on authenticating at the login screen.

Anyone else having this issue?

Any ideas?

We're presently aware of this issue and are currently looking into the matter. When we have more information available, we'll be sure to pass it along.

I see that many of you are stating that you've been able to log in. Is anyone still getting stuck at authentication?

Folks, this thread is for updates regarding the authentication issue that is currently occurring not a discussion on what kind of Tinfoil hat you would like to wear while discussing the latest rumours.

I'll provide what updates I can when I receive them but let's keep the discussion on subject.

Finaly came here to see if others were having the same issue as me. It's been over two hours now of waiting for authentication only to get: "Cannot log onto world of warcraft at this time. Please try again later."

This issue started at approximately 8:30 PM PDT, Tempre. We're not quite at the 2 hour mark yet and I hope it will not take that long to resolve the issue. I'll let you know though as soon as I receive an update.

Not that the Realm Technicians are down the hall from me, Nuguns, but what would that accomplish? I'm not a technician, if you want the issue resolved you want me to stay away from the hardware all together. :)

It appears that the authentication issue has cleared up, our technicians will continue to monitor the situation.

I really have to stop saying that the issue has been resolved, it simply comes back. O.o

I'm going to poke some technicians and see if I can find anything out.

It has been an hour, Bolloxed, I understand this issue is frustrating but please let's keep the time frame as accurate as possible. :)

Rolling restarts would assist a realm, not necessarily an authentication issue.

The hamsters are being worked on.

Most players are able to log in but it seems there may temporary lapses with the service. We hope to have those resolved as quickly as possible.
