I respect your right to dislike the stuff, but at least watch some of it first. More than just one short, preferably. They're only 5ish minutes long, after all. And personally I'm more a Bugs fan than a Tweety/Sylvester fan. Watch the duck season / rabbit season ones. I'll try to find a link for ya.
I think one of the most common misconception is that they're supposed to make literal sense; most of them were violent and fun for the kids, but behind that there was an extraordinary amount of political commentary for the adults.
They were actually used as references quite often in one of my political science classes. =)
