On making things actually happen.

Consider this: it was last Blizzcon when talk about moving away from arenas and getting back to bg's as a primary source of gearing started up. This was in response to the massive outcry that was the end of TBC about arenas.

In the 3.2 Q&A what do we get? A new battleground and the same old jazz all around. They've been hinting at finding ways to make bg's track skill better forever now, but they don't deliver.

But here's the best part, in the Q&A we are finally told they have plans to do rated bgs (something players have been saying for a long time now) and that we should expect details next blizzcon.

Great, so an entire year went by and we basically did nothing to accomplish what was originally talked about last blizzcon.

Creating a program to track the skill level involved in playing in battlegrounds is no small task. It's a time-consuming and painstaking endeavor. To simply push something out because it would be convenient is far from the best solution to this problem.

Be assured we are working on a way to track contribution to battlegrounds and, in someway, rate them. We don't have any details to give out at this time, but I'm certain we'll have more to disclose on this soon.

why dont you use the ridiculous amount of money you are making each month from this game on THIS GAME?

We've said it before, but apparently it needs to be said again. Throwing dollar bills on a fire just burns your money up; it doesn't make the flame extinguish. Throwing money at the problem isn't the solution. Contrary to popular belief, money does not actually solve complexed logic problems or provide spontaneous breakthroughs.

Though it's incredibly presumptuous of you to think that the money made by World of Warcraft isn't being used in a myriad of ways on World of Warcraft itself, because it is.

Yeah Crygil, if you had only bought your coworkers more beers.

:P

Hm, drunk programming... is that like Drunken Boxing? Is there a certain secret style of programming that can't stop delivering heavy code?

You're right. It's definitely not being used and invested in to that OTHER game you're company is creating right now.

It's being used for developing other games too. The point being made is more along the lines of "we definitely put money back in to World of Warcraft."
