Shift Key Not Working

Ok, I've never had this problem before and I haven't done anything to my game or addons that could result in the issue I am experiencing.

After the realms were reset on Tuesday, all my key bindings on all my toons were reset. I went in, fixed the key bindings I normally use, but I am still having an issue.

My shift key will NOT work in the game. I couldn't hold the shift key down to compare gear, take things out of my inbox (multiples in one mail for example). I can't find the key binding setting for this, but I assume it's not an actual binding you can change.

But my whole point is that I am not the only one with this problem. My husband is experiencing issues as well. He can't open up the socket gem menu. And like I said before, we haven't done anything different to our accounts or computers. We contacted a GM ingame and he gave us a list of things to try. We tried them and they still aren't working.

He told us to repair our game, delete the WTF, Interface, and Cache Folders (like usual), and at the worst reinstall our game.

We've tried it all and nothing is working. We've even tried different computers, but to no avail.

Can a GM look into this further for us? It's crippling gameplay a little. We can hold out until it's resolved, but figured it's better to report it since we both are experiencing issues. We'll be happy to provide anymore information if needed. Thank you for your time.

EDIT: My husband figured out something. He received a pair of shoulders from a GM (due to a mixup in raid) yesterday, and now he can't use the shift key on that toon (for example: dressing room, socketing gems). But he checked his other toons and said it's just the one toon. I'll provide name and realm for a GM when needed.
