Did they really have to be perma banned?

Okay I understand that this is Blizzards playground and they can do what they want, but lately moderation has been way too harsh. We lost some good people today who was having a bit of weekend fun the post were not that bad some prudes got over sensitive and now two of my good friends are not only perma banned from the forums but the game as well. Since when did Forum perma ban become in game perma ban?

Blizzard has gotten too heavy handed lately...ban folks form the forum who are really bad I get, but from the game? One of the people had played this game since day one and has lost several 80 toons....Harsh Blizzz really harsh.

Players are not banned from the game based on their forum activity unless the cases are extremely severe. Discussing disciplinary actions on the forums, however, is a violation of the Code of Conduct. I'd suggest not getting involved if you weren't directly affected and do not know the actual circumstances.
