I see that you've since contacted our Account Administration department again after they sent you that most recent email. I would recommend waiting until they respond again to your email before you worry too much; the issue will be reviewed and addressed accordingly.

Also, should you believe that your account was indeed compromised, please review the following:

Q u o t e:
I have TRIED that, and it hasn't worked so far. To repeat such is the definition of insanity.

What part of it hasn't worked exactly?

Q u o t e:
sending emails to Blizzard for the past week-ish, it not being fixed

Unfortunately, our staff is extremely busy as of late and as such it can take some time for them to be able to respond to your emails. Constantly sending them more and more everyday will not speed up the process.

and me being called a cheater.

The account was used for illicit activities; whether or not it was you will be determined when they are able to address your dispute.

Until that time, you'll want to remain patient as it's going to take some time for them to be able to get back to you.

Call me crazy, but do you think it's wrong of me to sense some FINALITY in that email from Blizzard?
Not at all. The account was closed and you were provided the reasoning behind the closure. The only reason we would overturn it is if we are able to determine that the actions — which were performed and therefore warranted the closure — were performed during a time when the account was not under your control (e.g. compromised).

As such, you've already emailed our Account Administration department telling them that is the situation and they will review it accordingly.

I've dealt with countless cases of these types of issues, Danger; to be completely honest with you, there's really only two general situations that occur with these:
    1) The player's account was compromised and was used for illicit activities. These are very easily addressed if they are reported to our Account Administration staff quickly.
    2) The player actually did participate in the activities mentioned in the email and is simply claiming that they were compromised.

I am more than willing to believe that you are in the first, but we do have to investigate the matter to ensure that those in the second grouping do not get away with their actions simply because we are willing to believe them.

This is why it can take some time for us to address each and every one of them; regrettably, some of them are not cut and dry issues.

Would you care to share with the class WHAT exactly Blizzard does to figure this stuff out?

Unfortunately, in order to ensure that our investigation methods are still usable and the information is not abused I am unable to disclose any specifics about our methods. =/

I apologize for any frustration that this outcome may have caused, Dangerturtle. However, it appears that our Account Administration department has reviewed this account several times and decided to uphold the closure.

Please keep in mind that while we wish to help as often as possible, the account holder is ultimately responsible for their accounts security. If an account is compromised and used extensively for over a year without any report of a compromise being filed, then it becomes extremely difficult to establish what has actually occurred, or who may have had control of the account during the time of the violation.

I understand that this is not the end result that you were hoping for, but I do not have any additional suggestions on how to address this issue at this point. I'm glad to see that our Billing department was able to help you get a new Recruit a Friend account established, and I can see that you are well on your way to leveling a new character.
