After the Lich King expansion/update is out. For lore wise isn't that the end of the WarCraft story?

The Lich King is but one part of Azeroth's history and in fact is more "recent" history relatively speaking. There is far more than just this one story that has been told or is yet to be told.

it's the only story the players care about though. no one cares about the emerald dream or elemental plane

Signed, "All of us"?

You may not care, but many others do. It is not the only story, though it's a good one among many.

The more negative posts here really need to be toned back a notch. We're always open to constructive feedback but few of these type are actually constructive. Passion for the game is great, but I'd like to remind everyone to please make sure that your passion is shared in a constructive manner. It carries a bit more weight that way.

How much longer can you really carry out a story in an MMO, though?

Given how young the industry is and gaming (relatively speaking) overall, I don't believe anyone can answer this. While more people today have internet connections and are engaging in gaming as a hobby, there is no benchmark for things like this. On our end, we are continuing to look at creating entertaining experiences for our communities and expanding on those experiences wherever we can.

Let us entertain you. :)

Do you ever forsee the Warcraft storyline go back to the medium of Warcraft 1-3?

I'm not the one steering this ship, but many things are within the realm of the possible. It's more about the right time for the right story that comes into play.
