Hrm... I don't think it ever will really. Even if the game itself ends, I would imagine the characters would live on in the imaginations of the many whom have had their lives touched by it. But maybe that's just me.

It may be "touchy feely" , but I'm a bit of a romantic and get attached to artistry where I see it. I still re-read books for the sake of "visiting" the characters again. Seeing something end that you love is not easy. I've seen it happen before and find that it's cold that anyone would wish the end of someone's love or dreams or creative effort. Again, that may just be me.
*By the way, the Hollow Men is one of my favorite poems.
