Recruit a Friend mistake

I just bought the WoW Battle Chest with the intent that I would link the account to my friends account (Kabu on Eredar) via the Recruit a Friend service. While setting it up, I made a mistake. I entered in the Battle Chest keys to set up the account instead of the trial account key that was sent to me via email when Kabu sent me the RAF invitation. Is there any way to fix this mistake?
