Why is it every time I come back to a Vanilla WoW is better thread or I'm quitting WoW thread it has been locked? Why not delete whatever poster/posts that are inappropriate and let the discussion continue?

So what do you think? Does Blizzard have a right to lock threads that don't violate any rules but are simply critical of them?

It is their forum I suppose. But you're not gonna salvage the plummeting subscription rate by silencing the voices of the community I can tell you that right now Blizzard.

We are not allowed to discuss moderation of the forums on the forums.

Firstly, this is the appropriate avenue to express such a concern, not the forums.

There are plenty of threads critical of Blizzard Entertainment and World of Warcraft game play that remain intentionally open because they're constructive. Constructive threads generally promote civil discussions, while the opposite is true for threads that aren't well-worded and do not effectively offer a valid avenue for good discussion. So rather than treat the symptoms of the thread by removing inappropriate posts, we root out the virus by deleting or locking the entire thread. The same also goes for threads nearly identical in nature to other threads on the forums (i.e. there are plenty of "Vanilla WoW" threads out there).
