Un-merge my account!

My account "<removed>" was merged with someone else's Battle.net account and I tried contacting Billing but they take an amass time to reply back. I never remember doing an account merge with a battle.net account since I have a Battle.net account but no merge on that account. So then, I checked my email and saw a notice that my account had been merged with "<removed>". I never even heard of that person before. I think I was being phished because one time I went on this site login that looked like WoW's Log In page to login but after that my account had been merged with another person's account. My account has my personal information and I would like my account to be reset with a new password to prevent the person that phished me from ever logging in. If anyone ever knows a way to help me, please help immediately, that would be very helpful as I am on the verge of having extreme worries about the account!

It sounds as though your account has been compromised, Kerutha. Given this, I'd sincerely encourage you to review our Account Compromise Info Center in full. Within, you'll find all sorts of information that should help guide through this recovery period.

For ease of reference, though:

In order to delink a WoW account from a B.net account, you will need to contact Billing & Account Services. Our representatives therein will be happy to assist you in regaining access to your account during open office hours. I'd go ahead and call them, though, instead of emailing in or submitting a webform.

In the meantime, go ahead and focus on securing your account and computer. Also, if you've a friend or guildmate online, they're welcome to submit a petition on your behalf. Within his/her petition, just make sure they include the name and realm of a character on your main account and that they believe the account was compromised. For example: "I believe my friend's account was compromised this morning. He is unable to login and his password has been changed. A character on his account is <X> of <Y>. Thank you for any assistance you can lend."

If you've any additional questions or concerns, please do let me know. :)
