Phasing, Horrible Flaw in the system.

I couldn't find anything at a glance or via search, yet I'm almost certain this has been brought up.

The concept of Phasing is great, truly makes the player have the feeling of changing the world he plays while allowing others to still par-take in the same events unchanged.

So it baffles me that blizzard was unable to foresee this event...this undeniable flaw within it's unique debut.

Group Quests.

More specifically, Group quests that actually require a group (not solo-able by a good player or great gear/exceptions for a rare few.) And even more specific where this takes place is Ice Crown.

Now, I'm all for Blizzard making the grand stage be Ice Crown, and you progress the story to taking over most of the surrounding area to lay siege on Lich Kind's door step.

The issue(Wow, he finally got to the point of the thread!) is when a person is stuck on a group phasing quest, where his guild/friends...have ether progressed past that stage(thus unable to interact with the quest) or have yet to get to said point in the phase quest line to assist.

Of course if they are not caught up to you...like-wise you can not aid them in reaching your point in the Group Quest chain.

The easiest of fixes is to allow quests that push a Phase to be solo-able...or if you wish to find a more complex fix, find a time-machine joke item that allows you to part-take in the event in the phase that the group member is on, both past and future.

Am I the only one that is seeing this issue present? Or am I part of a long list of broken records that seemly can't use a search function properly?

Edit:

I'm relieved to see, will not as insane as I originally thought it'd be,(least not in forums, 10 million players aren't all on here to post) there still are a good number or posters in this topic that lead me to believe it is a problem worth noting.

It's one of those silent issues where it's shared more then you know, yet instead of out-cry, it turns people away from questing, and experiencing your phase system. (so just because Blizzard doesn't see people whinging constantly about it dose not mean it's a minor issue. Quite in-fact, there may be a wide group of players that get turned off it due to being stuck with no option to continue forward, and just gave up instead of altering Blizzard of the issue)

So please, if you want to aid your game in making it feel more compelling...as well as get more people in the mood to quest and explore the lore your design team worked on, adjust the Phase Quests that force the player to work with someone else(when clearly not all servers have the luxury of people being near by to par-take in that quest) to progress to the next phase of the story/game.

Challenges are fun to have, but phasing truly limits your resources at which too deal with them, thus it's not a wise area to place said challenges...image a phase raid encounter where a group forms and half are sealed out due to not completing a phase..like attunement, it's the same issue, just in different form.

It's possible something will get changed in the future, but overall we feel the system has been working out quite well. While you may not be able to get help from certain people, it hasn't seemed too hard in my personal experience to find others to help me with the small number of quests that are phased.
