I have been playing WoW since the release of the game. Played mostly a night elf druid. I took a year and a half off after Wrath came out because I was getting burnt out and quite frankly, the game became way too easy. After cataclysm came out, I heard great things and reactivated my account. I log in only to notice my 80 night elf druid is no where to be found. I do some investigating and find out that about a year ago my account was compromised and that character was transferred off my account. Ok so I call up Blizz support and I give them my serial numbers to my games and verify my account. So then I ask the lady I was talking to if I could have my character brought back to my account because I have no idea who or how my account got hacked while I wasn't playing anymore. She simply says contact a GM and he can recover your character for you. I do that and the GM says I am sorry but we have no data on what happened to your character a year ago because we don't keep logs longer than a year. So I call Blizz support again and I ask how this is possible. How can someone log into my account and take my characters without me knowing and there's nothing anyone can do about it. She says well these things happen. Then I asked her well if he transferred my character to another account, that account has to be in my name, right? She says yes maybe we can just recover that account. Nope he changed the name on the account and Blizz supposrt says I can't get my character, with over 400 game days played, back.
WoW community help me out here, what do I do?
