Update: Released Interview VODs

--

With Patch 6.2: Fury of Hellfire now live, lead game designers Cory Stockton and Ion Hazzikostas will be sitting down with select fansites to discuss the latest content and changes, as well as address some common questions from the community about Tanaan Jungle, Hellfire Citadel, and more.

This Week

To kick things off, Cory Stockton will chat with Scott Johnson of The Instance Podcast tomorrow, June 25. You can tune in for the interview live, 1 p.m. PDT, at http://frogpants.com/live.

Ion Hazzikostas will join Perculia and Panser from Wowhead Weekly to discuss the latest patch, as well as follow up on some of the information shared during last week's live Q&A. This interview will be released on the Wowhead YouTube channel over the weekend. We'll update this thread with a link to the video once it's posted.

More to Come

Venturing to the other side of the pond, Ion will appear on German site Vanion, and Cory on French site Mamytwink, next week. Both of these interviews will be conducted and released in English, as well as localized for each site's respective native language, and we'll let you know where to find them in the days ahead.

We'd love to have you tune in and get the latest insights from Cory and Ion!

Wow, the devs are coming out of the woodwork to give interviews now. The upcoming Q2 sub numbers must truly be terrible. I guess it's better to have the interviews than not, but it's going to be hard for blizzard to win back trust and confidence after the myriad of poor decisions and lack of communication all through WoD. I hope things can turn around and we can get all those "cyclical" people back and keep the game healthy.

I just want to point out that we've booked developer interviews around every major content patch over the last 10+ years. This isn't something new or different. When new content and changes are released, we have some of the developers most involved in their design sit down and talk about them. It's not fundamentally different from press junkets around movie releases. :)

Does the German interviewer use a translator when he talks to Ion or do they do it in English first than translate it for German people?

The interview is conducted in English and then localized afterward by the site conducting it. Vanion's interview from today (which will later be posted in German) is up already: https://youtu.be/xpMZNb6EWfs
