Account Compromied after long stint gone

Okay I stopped playing World of Warcraft early in March of 2009. Had school and work and couldn't find the time. Two days ago(roughly late June'ish of 09), I wanted to start playing once more, and went through the steps to re-activate my account (out money into).

However, once I attempted to pay for my account I was unable to log in. I assumed I had been hacked at first, so I contacted Blizzard by phone and followed the steps towards getting my Email defaulted back to my original Email and Password (which they did, I am now in possession of said account)

Upon retrieval of both my Email and PW I was surprised to find myself on a completely different server, missing most of the gear and gold I worked so hard to obtain before I took my extended leave, and this happened on all my alts, most were transferred to different realms and striped of money and gear and had their professions changed to gathering ones.

<-----This toon (Human female priest) means A LOT to me, in over +3 years of playing, I never switched mains nor specs. I had gathered all(shouldn't say all, was missing couple pieces of tier 3 and 4) tier 1, 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 5, 6(both off spec and main), 6.5(all Sunwell gear); along with all the best in slot for rings/back/weapons/necks for each tiered zone. Along with all that gear I had worked so hard for from Vanilla WoW to end of BC, I had also had around 17k gold. All that is missing. I can live without the gold, and staying on this server (Although I would like the gold and to go back to my server) the gear is what means the most to me. It has a lot of memories attached to them.

I opened a ticket up, waited for couple hours and succumbed to sleep, so my ticket was not answered. If nothing else, telling the background story to hopefully a blue will help me out while I am waiting in game with another ticket open.

(edited for the irony in my sig, ultimate fail )
