- Horde and Alliance raid guilds will be able to recruit from a far larger pool of players. No longer will they be limited to just their faction.
- Players that have always wanted to roll the opposite faction but were turned away from the leveling process will now have a chance to make their dreams come true. I for one would like to be an UD priest.
- With Horde and Alliance being able to transfer factions, there will no longer be an excuse for either faction to have advantages in BGs.
Cons:
- Unless this faction transfer will be a one-time thing, PvPers will be changing factions just to be able to get a specific racial ( EMFHs, WOTF ).
- Lorewise, this would make no sense and goes against what Blizzard has been saying in the past. Blizzard is starting to push aside lore just for the convenience of players. There's a line between lore and convenience, and this pushes it. Factions are no longer about Good vs Bad ( Has it ever? Blizzard fails at making us feel at war with the other faction ). Factions will now be about who you think looks cooler.
Now that there will be faction transfers, we might as well get rid of the silly factions all together. Just give us race changes and call it a day. The Horde and Alliance were never at war, or atleast the players never were. Since the games release, each factions major cities have been left nearly untouched and look exactly the same. There is no war. The only war we have are joke BGs, and a joke 'world pvp' zone that is soon becoming a BG.
